"Nepenthe" by Ravenwood Fine Provisions
50g sealed tin
 
Nepenthe is the second blend I ever made, and one of my favorite of all the mixtures I make. The tin note is a bit heavy, but this is very much a well balanced english oriental using aged leaf, as well as orientals from overseas.
It has a rich base of smokey latakia, along with smyrna, and yenidje orientals. Then its lightly seasoned with some finely aged red virginia.  Expect earthy cedar notes, rich latakia, with fragrant orientals that have a buttery, savory piquancy. A fragrant, cool smoking mixture for any time of the day.
